I always try to find at least one new mobile game before I go on any trip.
Crashlands is a mobile version of Don’t Starve. Your character crashes into a planet and has to build a bunch of stuff in order to survive.
It’s basically exactly what you imagine “mobile version of Don’t Starve” might mean. Everything is stripped down - the crafting system is **much **less complex. However, it got me through a recent trip (lots of solo airplane/airport downtime) admirably.
A review I read said something to the effect that you will, at some point, realize that you’re playing an artfully disguised Skinner box. And that you just won’t care because it’s a damned charming one.
Anyway, if you’re looking for a good mobile game to kill some time on you could do a lot worse with your five bucks than Crashlands.
