Crazy high glucose reading: muscle achy on waking and headaches coincidence or symptom?

This morning I hit a personal worst of 340.

Besides peeing and drinking like a horse (which I know about) I was wondering about the subject. I’ve been sleeping on the couch a lot recently (my marriage is fine, thank you) and doing long hours cooking recently, so I’m not sure.

Just for information, not as if I need corroborative evidence that I am seriously fucked up.

One month ago my A1C came in at 7.1, and the world was my erster.

ETA, FTR: seven months ago my A1C was 9.2.

I gotta get my shit together.

Ketoacidosis, bitches!

For all those posters who cared (:()

Guess where I’m posting from…

Hint:

A place with machines that go “Bing!” and puts straws in my arm.

Holy shit Leo. That’s serious stuff. Good thing you’re where you need to be to get it straightened up. Here’s hoping they get you settled down soon.

Sounds to me like you need to go to ultra-clean living. Zero sweet, almost zero starch and grain. Every day with zero cheating. Works well for several diabetics I know.

The day I spent in the ICU for DKA was the most relaxing day I’d had in months, which is a big part of the reason why I was there… stress can raise your glucose levels, too. So whatever you do, DON’T PANIC.

Are you wearing those pneumatic leg-warmers that squoosh your legs? Is that a weird feeling or what, like you’re getting molested by a couple of very confused pythons.
