I’ve got four 500GB hard drives lying around that I would like to pair into two striped drives that mirror each other. I’ve been able to create the striped drives using Disk Utility, but I can’t figure out how to mirror them. Any help would be appreciated.
What kind of enclosure / controller / interface are you planning on using?
They’re each in an individual enclosure conneted to my computer with a USB hub.
That requires a “soft” solution (software).

I’d recommend spending the bucks and getting a RAID enclosure and eSATA card (assuming you have a MacPro), or FireWire. USB stinks.
Soft solutions are OK, but a controller that does it in hardware is better and much faster.
