Credit Reporting Question

I have a judgment against somebody. Does anyone know how I can get it inserted into the person’s credit files? TIA!

It should be picked up automatically. Credit Reporting Agencies usually do not accept this type of documentation from one consumer to be inserted into the file of another consumer.

Ask the local courthouse rep who picks up the records, how, and how often.

I recently contacted TransUnion on this very subject for my business. In order to report credit information, you have to have an account with TransUnion. There is a $200 setup fee, a $50 per month account fee, and you must report a minimum of 100 customers per month. The credit reporting agencies are just not set up for individual reports.

That’s generally why most businesses turn this stuff over to collection agencies. They will be more than happy to ding the debtor’s report on your behalf.

You might also be able to get a lien against their property or a garnishment of their income depending on the laws where you live.

Check your yellow pages for collection agencies. They’ll take a percentage of anything they collect, but it sounds like your getting nothing right now so anything would be an improvement. And like friedo said, they will be able to do the reporting on your behalf.
