I’ve always just used Scope. I like the taste, and so far, it hasn’t turned my teeth brown (that’s my own doing! :D)

If you have sensitive mucus membranes, you might be right as far as the drugstore stuff goes. But Oral Care Formula from Laughing Lady Bug Botanicals simply rocks, and is very gentle. I had a dentist tell me my gums were a fecking mess of redness and inflammation and I needed all sorts of work done. He was right, they were very red (not pink) and bled a lot. 2 weeks of Oral Care Formula and my gums were tight and light pink, no longer bleeding, and my dentist was simply blown away and said I didn’t need his peridontal work after all. (He also asked me, tongue in cheek, not to tell anyone about the product or he’d never be able to get that new fishing boat!)
I support this statement. What obligation do you have to listen to ppl who can’t act in a civilized manner(meaning, limit rants and namecalling to appropriate situations)? The next question may be, “Who decides what’s appropriate?” Well, luckily, you do. 
A more liberal use of the ignore function might make for more productive discussions. You block the irrationals which helps right there, and others are encouraged to behave in a socially-acceptable manner, lest they be shut out of conversations. I think it’s something that’s going to become increasingly popular as the years pass and it’s adopted in all board software. Why let someone you don’t even know ruin your leisure time, or your favorite internet hangout? If someone brings nothing to the table, or constantly ruins discussions with tangents, etc, you won’t miss them when you don’t see them.
BTW, the orange Listerine isn’t NEARLY as nasty and mediciney as the original pale yellow stuff. I usually buy the store-brand to save some money, and my mouth feels much cleaner than with Scope, for much longer.
