Criminal escapes from high security prison with helicopter. For the second time.

The guy in question: Vassilis Palaiokostas - Wikipedia
CNN video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r9ZX8knG9e4

Apparently he has a shitload of money from previous heists and has used it to bribe high ranking officials in the police to help him escape. Talking heads speak endlessly on TV, the prime minister says heads will roll, yada, yada, yada. The only word that can describe the situation is hilarious.

How the fuck do two convicts who have already escaped together end up in the same prison, with almost the exact same opportunity? Do they only have one jail in Greece? Can you pick and choose your cell mates over there, or something?

So I guess the future is a bunch of recycled Fark headlines.

Gosh darn it to heck. What cuddly little prison kittens!

Ohh, this is going to be really bad for the Greek chartered helicopter industry…

Hopefully the rotor blades are not made of wax.

Icarus would be proud.

Honestly, even given the new stupid rules, why the fuck is this in the pit?

I read (skimmed, really) (some of) the threads re: the total pussification of this place, but seriously.

It isn’t even RO, ffs!

ftfy

omg lmao

I’d say bad things about the escapee, but I am not entirely sure he isn’t a member.

Hahaha! I lol’d

Actually there aren’t that many. Korydallos (the one in question) is the main high security prison and houses a fifth of all Greek prisoners.

The prison system is one of the many things about the country that make you want to laugh or cry - it would shame many developing countries.

Quick, Dog80, I think they’re on to us!

Yeah, I think this one goes in MPSIMS.
