Criminal Minds question

There were some episodes where Reid stayed behind because he’d been injured and wasn’t cleared for the field.

That was recently (the Rossi years), I remember Reid staying behind in several Gideon episodes.

I find the idea that two people of the opposite sex cannot maintain a flirtatious relationship without ending up doing the horizontal dance incredibly insulting.

It’s been a long time since I saw that episode, but I thought it was Garcia herself who was initially leery and suspicious about the guy who eventually shot her.

That is, she was teling Morgan, “This really cool, handsome guy seems to be enamored of me and, well, something just doesn’t feel right. I do okay with men, but I KNOW I’m not the type that a guy like him falls head over heels for at first sight (I’m a second or third sight type of girl)… so what’s the deal?”

And Morgan’s response was not “Yeah, you’re right, a handsome guy would NEVER go for YOU!” Rather, his answer was something like, “If your gut tells you something is wrong, listen to your gut.”

Which she SHOULD have done. Instead, she went out on a date with the guy, who turned out to be a killer.

Do the names Harry and Sally ring a bell? :stuck_out_tongue:

I think one of the best things about CM is how accurate their location shots are: the style of the suburban house of the week tends to match what you would expect for their purported location. Outdoor shots tend to be at least plausible. And they do a surprisingly good job having 1000 different police stations all look different, all match the community they are part of, and all seem fairly police-station like.

I assume you mean they achieve this DESPITE never leaving LA.

Yes, but someone takes a camera out somewhere to get outside shots that are cleverly spliced in.

Harry and Sally weren’t even remotely flirtatious - they were through and through true blue friends.

Funny you mention that- this is exactly how I was introduced to the show. I had barely even heard of it, and a couple of years ago, maybe it was just last year, their location scout knocked on my door. She loved my house, wanted to film here, and we got to talking about the show. She talked about Shemar Moore being so dreamy, and when I watched it I instantly got googly over Gubler/Reid, while recognizing that Moore is ludicrously beautiful.

They were going to shoot at my house for the episode with the three construction workers, which I think was set in DC or Virginia, but I know wasn’t set in LA.

Did they film at your house? And if so, was your house the “dream house” with the body in the wall?

That’s like my favorite episode of Criminal Minds.

No, the producers were scheduled to come by but they picked a different house first. I’m told my house is in the file.

Now I really want them to just because I want to see Gubler in the flesh…

By the way, I just watched last week’s episode with my CI buddy and we loudly agreed that it was easily the worst episode in the history of the series. The writing was horrendous in every possible way, and it’s always a bad idea to put Morgan at the center of anything, because Moore is as bad as he is pretty, and it sure doesn’t help to put such dreck in his mouth.

I’m having a really hard time sticking with this show because the writing is getting more and more ridiculous.
