Also, hasn’t America itself caused a decent amount of the “poverty and instability of the revolution-torn countries south of our border”? I’m thinking about Salvadore Allende, for one, who was democratically elected in Chile in the early 70’s, then murdered in an American-sponsored military coup. Or how about Manuel Noriega, in Panama?

My advice to you, salvador:

1. Look up Noriega and Allende. Some interesting stuff to read out there.
2. Read some books on Japanese history. More interesting stuff.
3. Read “The Latin Americas: Understanding their legacy” by Randall Hansis. I doubt you’d agree with much of it, but we used it as a textbook in a recent history class, and I found it worthwhile.
4. Talk to some people - perhaps these ‘culturally lesser’ folks - about this. You may learn about some incredibly complex social and political structures, economics, arts, etc.
5. Read up about Petra. It was an ancient city in what’s now Jordan. Very, very fascinating - the Museum of Natural History in NYC currently has a big exhibit on it.

You can’t argue a point that someone didn’t reach through logic. It’s like trying to prove that his entryway rug is ugly. He likes it, and no amount of arguing is going to convince him otherwise.

He believes these things because he wants to, and it’s a waste of time to argue. It might even be counterproductive. I know I’ve had times in my life that I wanted to butt heads with people just to have the argument and be contrary. This might be part of the situation here. Arguing might just drive him farther into his belief system.

“White” is not a race.

2. In the eyes of America’s founders, only Whites could be “Americans”. Therefore, American heritage is White heritage.

American religion is based on some Middle-eastern guy getting crucified a couple thousand years ago. Try again. While you’re at it, do some checking on the history of rock-and-roll. You may be surprised. And as for the law part, I’d guess you’ve never heard of Hammurabi, either.

Integrated neighborhoods are “trendy”? Did you just get here from the '50s?
Even if this one is a “fact”, it demonstrates nothing about any suposed superiority of whites. You know that, of course. Or you’re profoundly ignorant of history and economics. I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt as to which is the case.

Again with the “trendy”. And I would wager that the average student from one of these “trendy” integrate schools knows a hell of a lot more about the world than did the average Joe Whitebred from those all-white public schools of bygone eras. You’re repeating yourself again. Besides which, black neighborhoods and cities demonstrate absolutely nothing about “advanced societies”. Those neighborhoods and cities are often included within other societies - societies which continually treat them as second- or third-class citizens, practically ensuring that the cycle of poverty continues.

The racial makeup of the lands south of the Rio Grande is composed of American Indian, black, mixed-race and a small percentage of Whites thrown in. Their lands have never thrived like the nations to the north where Whites colonized and kept their race in tact, seldom mixing their race with Indians and blacks.

You mean like Thomas Jefferson and Strom Thurmond kept their bloodlines “pure”? Surely you don’t actually believe that those were isolated instances! We’ve been mixing it up in this country since it was founded, baby! And it’s still number one. Go figure.
