They are succeeding beyond their wildest expectations. And mine.
I slept late so they have a day of grace. <VEG>
I need to go check the camera now, or soon, or tomorrow, or sometime. :smack:

Three new albums to start July, 2016
https://goo.gl/photos/93XQzc75tvN7dDYc7
Weather, squirrels, activity on the deck, etc., have kept pictures way down.
I put chile powder on the bird seed but not the suet.
Used the finial solution on the one squirrel that was killing the end feeder that is not in the pictures and not under the roof.
Saved these 17 pictures from the last few days.
17 again… Rod, is that you over there?
17 new
The squirrel war is on !!!
The critters can clean out my feeders in a day. How often do you have to refill them?
They are just making a living.
Gus, what is the plant in the hanging basket?
In the ones hanging from the rail in the brown baskets = Petunias.
The big ones that hang from high on the support posts and are vine looking are a Hoya and a type of Philodendron.
So says the wife. I have no clue. Bawahahaha
17 new pictures added to my “Stuff” album.
So maybe 20 all together.
No captions, just a quick look for fun.
Did stuff to slow down the squirrels from chowing down.
4 added pictures in the stuff album.
9 new pictures in the war with the squirrels.
I’m not happy.
The Birds are not happy.
The squirrels are not happy.
So I try some more.
480 pictures of nothing, rain, me trying to set up a good Critter Cam position, etc. The camera& tripods are sitting here drying out while I ponder my next move.
I saved one picture for aiming purposes. You do not have to look at it.
(the few that follow stand & cheer)
But, there will be more. Even if I have to recycle some from long ago and far away. < VEG >
CritterCam ( Birds) Is now up.
Hope it gets better.
Birds, Squirrels, Deer, Raccoons, a Fox, a Zeus.
26 new 8-04-2016
A lot of coons. All about the same size, I don’t think it is a family. Did they eat everything, or was there some left for the deer?
2 quarts of sunflower seeds vanished… :smack:
The deer surprised me. Did not figure I would see one without corn out…
Glad to see that Zeus made a patrol round even if it was not at the best time to scare the raccoons.
The 4 raccoons that hit the sun flower seeds at the old deer stand where I am trying to get the bigger woodpeckers to come back to have found the squirrel feeder on the deck that I keep where the squirrels can get to it. It is hard to get seeds out of so that slows their loss a lot.
Twice tonight, once about 20:30 they were at that feeder and I had trouble getting Zeus out quiet so he did not scare them much.
Now at 00:35, I saw that they were there again. Got Zeus and had him sneak out another door but had to get him going in the right direction but we were much quicker. Zeus was the ‘flash’ this time. One jumped off the deck and Zeus was down the ramp in full cry. 2 others went down there also and they all split up and so Zeus had to many choices to make so that slowed him down.
One took off towards the water stations along the rail and it was getting farther & farther to the ground, I was charging at him and the second water device he tried to go around on the side away from me. Oops!!!
Scrabble scrabble then big eyes as he fell… Thump !!! Not sure which way he went as I did not see him again and their was no body and when Zeus cam back on one of his searching passes I got him to look but other than some sniffing, the raccoon was gone.
Zeus had a ball, baying like a coon hound, me cheering him on and telling him to read to them out of the book. I wonder what the neighbors thought as I prolly woke them up with my yelling & since all the local dogs were joining in the noise & excitement.
Zeus is back in front of an AC vent now and basking in the praises I am giving him. He now knows which way to go when I tell him raccoons no matter what door I get him out of so it may get wild soon if I don’t get some coon feed down to the deer stand.
Zeus did come back with about a foot of thorny dead green brier stuck in his tail. Even with only 3 good legs, he can hook it up when he wants for a little ways. Fun stuff for us both.
You don’t worry about siccing him on 'coons? I’ve seen some that were quite sizable in my woods.
