I think this is where I left off before I got sick.
Now I am thoroughly cornfussed.
Been really hot & muggy for us. All the critters are just holed up. Birds are after the water but the food is going really slow.
I am keeping about 20 pictures from 6 days.
Finally got a few critter pictures.
Had a tree go down.
10 more. Gah… Critters gone !!!
Acorns falling like a hail storm this year. Same small herd of deer. Cardinals, Doves & a few other birds are still feeding.
12 more during this slow time.
Rained last night. 3"
Woody is back…
Got a couple of bucks showing up now.
Had 2 hard freezes so far, don’t know if that makes a difference.
New CC pics start here I think, about 38 or so.
Also some more of Zeus. He got a bath, toenails done and the cool weather suits him to a “T.” Has not been in the house in 3 days even with invites. He likes it outside now.
We had a car drive up at 03:50 this AM and Zeus & Blondie let us know in a big way. We met them with lights & weapons carried by to old grumpy people. They decided they may have had the wrong house. Bawahahaha … Ya think?
We were 32F for the first time about 6:00 this morning in NLR.
I am surprised the river valley got that cold. The North wind was pretty strong. Winter be coming soon I think.
Been busy and more was happening than I thought.
Two Camera’s, about 40 some pictures, no tagging, see if you can find and decide what was going on.
Why?
Because I’m tired & in a hurry…
Critters and strange lights from a strange direction… Hummmmm
We had an oriole stop by for a bath in our bird bath last week. Wasn’t fast enough to get a decent photo, but sure was neat to see. Probably on its way to someplace else now that it’s cooling down.
Had one Oriole this summer. First I have ever seen. Really pretty bird.
Glad you at least got to see it.
I let the batteries die in one camera. Boo Hiss !!
But I still got about 600 pictures so I culled to 55.
Got a lot of pictures of Does eating corn day & night. Put a few in so you would know what I culled hundreds of to lesson the load on the flatbed Ford.
Cool temperatures, hunters, free food is causing more photo opportunities.
I’ve discovered that none of the wild critters like sweet red bell peppers. I got one in a meal kit I ordered and tossed it outside under the feeders because I don’t like 'em either. It’s been sitting there for two weeks now; no takers amongst the birds, squirrels, rabbits, deer and who knows what else that traipses through the yard on a daily basis.
Mealworm consumption, on the other hand, has gone way up now that’s colder outside.
