Very good Camera. You are going to have fun. While we wait, grab a few regular pictures of where you are set up, any bait you might be using and what quick rundown of how you are setting it up = stills, video, # of shots each time it is tripped, delay, quality setting, etc…
Mine is a step or two below that camera and I have found for my situation that the 10 max MP setting is not as good as the regular ‘high’ which is 4 or 5 MP, I forget right now. Got to go check mine in a few minutes.

When I lived in a trailer on five acres, I had reason to go to the barn. Disdaining a flashlight, and being very familiar with the path, I could not see much. A horrible growling, coughing made me think that I had seen my last, a cougar. It was, however, a buck barking at me.

This is the best one I’ve got so far. Need to futz around more with the placement and settings.
Though things may get a little more interesting for a bit. I heard something scrabbling around in the attic yesterday. Husband went up there this morning, found a hole had been chewed in the screen over the attic vent. Also found a dead bat and a pile of bat crap.
He wants to put the camera up there and point it at the hole to see if we can figure out what made it and when it comes and goes. Then we can put up a new (stronger) screen to keep whatever it is out.

I made it a little darker, that’s all. I’ve since adjusted the settings so it’ll do that without my help. After we get done figuring out what’s in the attic, I’ll play with the video too.

A Doggie Tail for New Years.
I am going round the bend with dogs pushing…
This has happened enough that I think Zeus has a crush on Blondie or else, he is a very caring doggie. Blondie is a yellow Lab, sorta, but the point is she is so … I don’t know what. For several years, she ignored Zeus, would not play, just came to our house as her house has two yappy floor mops that get to stay inside. Blondie gets fed, gets inside the garage or someplace when bitter cold but usually a pile of leaves beside the house is her world…
She is fat and seems in good health. Mental health, not so much IMO. Long story short, she comes here and takes Zeus’ bed, food, won’t play etc… She does not understand angry words or being told to go home. Just smiles and steps in to trip you again, get brushed, get petted, get attention to, to ,to…
I have no reason to get mean enough to hurt her bad enough to make her go away so we feed, keep enough room for her to spend the night here if she wants, etc… So, food time, she is front & center.
Lately, Zeus has made her play, ( mock fight & wrestle ) and I encourage him to kick her ass and roll her and win… He just plays and has not a clue about aggression with her. But… I don’t think she is Alpha . I am alpha and I have to give her credit, she has only tried to come inside once when she got mixed signals from me. She knows Zeus gets to come in, gets first choice, gets first…
OK, nuff back ground:
This has happened several times now. Blondie is not here at food time. I feed Zeus and hope to save a little money. 30 minutes or an hour later ( just happened again tonight ) Zeus comes to my computer window and instead of just looking at me while waiting for me to notice him, he whines real loud and when I acknowledge him off he goes knowing I will meet him at the deck door in the kitchen. Blondie is in front of the door and he is off to the side. I step out and ask what he wants and he whimpers a little and looks at Blondie.
She missed the food & he wants me to feed her. Plain as day this is. She knows what he is doing. Just by her actions, she knows… So I go fix her dinner, I put a little of it in a small bowl for Zeus tonight but I usually don’t. I figure a little for being a good dog a good diea and she gets to eat. He does not care if he gets more, it is all about taking care of her.
Snack is a can or two of tuna each. Treats are treats, just sometimes, a cut up hot dog fed one chunk at a time taking turns if both are there.
Main meals, twice a day in the cold weather, 1-2 cups of grain free dry food, two turkey dogs, grain free, and sliced up meat of leftovers or cheap ground stuff cooked in batches just for them, with the drippins/grease. A pat of butter and then nuked to a nice warm temp. Stirred so everything is nicely coated, the glass bowls are warmed, usually by hot water washing in the sink + the hot food from the micro-wave.
If both are here, it takes X time, if I have to do each separate like tonight it is near 2X because it is only a few extra seconds to make two at a time.
Plus Blondie will eat 1 or 2 mouth fulls of deer corn, ( yellow rocks ) when I go to the dear stand and resupply the deer dish. The girl just ain’t right.
Somehow, the ‘sucker’ printed on my forehead as transferred to Zeus because he is sure taking care of Blondie. She does not get to go on the rides, come inside and she is not pushy about it. So how can I be mean to her? Plus I think Zeus would never forgive me at this point.
I don’t think much about this will change with the new year. :::: sigh :::

Not to fear, only 23 got saved…
Only does have been eating and that is done at night this go round and they are boring around here so you get some of that and birds & squirrels and me !!!
