Has any research been done into this area? I was wondering if there’s been an instinctual cultural preference found for how long each gender’s hair is to prototypically be. I can think of cultures where long for both genders is standard, and where short for men but long for women is standard, but I personally am aware of no cultures where short for women but long for men is.
Any insight on this topic?
