Culture project

Good morning (here in MA at least), and nice meeting you; (insert continued humble introductions here).

To get to the point, I am whittling away what little is left of my time in HS, and my teachers refuse to alow me to peruse the internet freely. They think busy work is more rewarding…

One of my “projects” is to write a paper about culture/s. Well, as I usually like to mix it up a little, I don’t normally do anything normal (like writing about some bland culture), so I ask you for suggestions on cultures
thank you

On the dangers of monoculture:

hahaha, good answer; but I think I should’ve been more specific about what form of culture. :smack:

I’m looking for an interesting human (or at least animal) culture. Something with pizzazz, if ya know what I mean.

Thanks for any help, all responses will be considered

PS- To all the folks who will worry that I’m getting homework done by the teeming millions, don’t worry, I’m just looking for ideas.

How about message board culture? If you’re a frequent message board person, you know that mb’s have a lot of the earmarks of a culture: shared language, mores, traditions, etc… I leave it up to you to determine if any are complete and distinct enough to warrant the term “culture.”

Ahh, you said culture, and naturally I thought Helminthosporium:wink:

How about investigating the Pirahã culture?

Do you want to anger your teacher? Write about the culture of the National Education Association, of teaching colleges, and other plaes that public educators congregate. If you can track down a copy of America’s Teachers, it’s a textbook for education majors that’s pretty harsh about the state of education and the culture of education departments.

hmmm… well, since a myriad of subcultures exists within cultures, you can think about:

the culture of:

a) hottest/popular place teens hang out at.
b) spring break at a particular-interesting-place.
c) shopping at an expensive store
(your age group, maybe Abercrombie & RICH) :stuck_out_tongue:
d) restaurant (too bad you’re underage, HOOTERS would be fun to read about)
