Okay, this is probably a silly question, but if you’re baking with foil cupcake liners, are the paper portions meant to be used or not? Are they just so that the foil liners don’t stick together during shipping? Help!
I’ve always used them. What, you’ve never seen cupcakes in paper liners at a grade school bake sale before?
Definitely seen them used both ways - with and without paper bits - but today, I actually read the packaging, which seemed to imply that the paper was not intended for use. (Personally, I like to use them, because it’s neater to eat with the foil acting as a “bowl” to catch crumbs when you pull the paper from the cake.)
But I’m baking for a potluck Christmas party at husband’s workplace tomorrow, so I didn’t want to look like an idiot in front of people I barely know! (People who already know me know that I’m an idiot!)
