There are bush killer herbicides out there that kill the roots of plants. Use these products instead of regular Round Up. You’ll only need to apply it once, to all growing shoots.

Goats will chew up anything they want. this often includes stuff like wood, so they might even chew dead bamboo. I’m sure they would give fresh bamboo shoots a try. Who wants a goat in the yard though. They’re as likely chew on your house as they are the bamboo. They’ll climb on stuff in the yard until they end up on your garage roof, or on top of the car.

sooo, one should go with pandas and perhaps giraffes (for the really tall stalks) to keep bamboo in line.
