Cyber polygon

Mark your calendar! So what is CYBER POLYGON?

Question for IT members, this is a world wide exercise. How will it effect the public? Will we know? Or will the cyber-war be sandboxed? Or will this exercise say, target things we do? Ex : Internet outages, grocery stores and gas stations computer systems go offline temporarily either planned or a OOPS… Unintended consequences?

Concept 2021
As the digitalisation is further accelerating, the world is becoming ever more interconnected. Digital ecosystems are being created all around us: countries, corporations and individuals are taking advantage of the rapid spread of the Internet and smart devices. In this context, a single vulnerable link is enough to bring down the entire system, just like the domino effect.

A secure approach to digital development today will determine the future of humanity for decades to come.

Cyber Polygon 2021 will enable the spectators and participants to improve on their cyber literacy, enhance the resilience of their organisations and learn to repel cyberthreats on all levels.

Cyber Polygon in 2021

This year discussions during the live-streamed conference will centre on secure development of ecosystems. With global digitalisation further accelerating and people, companies, and countries becoming ever more interconnected, security of every single element of a supply-chain is

key to ensuring the sustainability of the whole system.

During the technical exercise, participants will hone their practical skills in mitigating a targeted supply chain attack on a corporate ecosystem in real

time.

The event will be held online on July 9th. Applications from organisations wishing to join the training are open. See further details on the official website.

Technical Training

"The technical exercise attracted 120 of the largest

companies, energy suppliers, healthcare
institutions, universities as well as state and law
enforcement agencies.
The teams practised response actions at the
moment of a targeted attack that aimed to steal
confidential data and undermine the company
reputation.
The participants took the side of the Blue Team
and worked on protecting their segments of
the training infrastructure. The organisers from
BI.ZONE represented the Red Team and simulated
the attacks.

This posted in the wrong forum. @moderators

It was a draft for later. I was trying to post a new topic in cafe society.

Please move wherever you think it appropriate.

Thanks

I reported the OP so a mod sees your request.

Appreciate it!

It won’t affect the public.

It’s a conference. They will listen to speeches, presentations, and technical papers.

They have an exercise where they set up a simulated corporate system, and divide into a red team and a blue team, and try to hack it or protect it.

They hopefully learn something, and go away better prepared to protect critical systems.

Thanks, I thought it was interesting.
