I love sniping too. I would never bid on anything with three days left - that’s inviting someone to outbid you.
But a simple fact - it’s not the last bidder who wins - it’s the highest bidder. If you really wanted it, you should have bid more. That person who sniped you bid more than you did - that’s why he/she won.
If it’s that important to you why don’t you simply email the winner and offer a very healthy profit to them or offer to horsetrade if they collect the same “Bandstand Bears” for something you may have extra copies of or don’t want as much.
