This was on HBO and I TiVo’d it. Some of it was interesting though several times I got bored and checked my email on my laptop. Parts of it were realistic about stripping, parts weren’t (I’ve never seen guys get that excited about the girls dancing on stage, nor throw that much money on the stage.)

My question is: Was the character “Angel” supposed to be mentally retarded or just perpetually drugged up? I couldn’t tell.

I seem to recall it being a combination of - slightly ditzy woman / perpetually drugged up.

I think it was more like very ditzy and perpetually drugged up.
