Dancing on the grave of health care "reform"

Rand Rover, **Rand Rover **send *bullshit *right over!”

(Sigh…) I used to love that game. So pointless… so childish… such a waste of time… how very à propos.

First of all, you most likely do indeed hate yourself. It’s not much of a stretch that you hate your family and friends, too.

More to the point–if it could somehow be established that you, your family, and your friends all needed that $1 million per year as desperately as so many Americans need access to affordable health care then we’d be compelled to seriously consider any reasonable way that society could provide that for you.

Of course, it’s an absurd idea that you folks would need those millions in the same way that the un-insured and under-insured need affordable health-care. But the point is, when there is such an actual, glaring need (not desire or wish) for something as vitally important to our economy and our social soundness as quality, non-bankrupting health-care access for all, we must find a way to provide it.

This is something that all thoughtful, non-evil people–Democrat, Independent, or Republican can agree on.

“We must find a way to provide it” indeed. Your only answer is “let’s increase the power of the government.” It doesn’t take too many answers like that (see also cap and trade, the stimulus bill, etc. and etc.) before it’s easy to see that the liberal douches feel that increasing government power is the end and health care reform (or whatever other issue of the day) is just the means.

Eh? I wasn’t calling poor people freeloaders, I was bashing liberal douches (as is my wont). I’ve never bashed on poor people as such. And not all liberal douches are poor, of course.

You do know you’re not making a lot of sense here, right? You don’t know many lefties, do you?

See, thing is, you can read a lot of the lefty thought on a lot of subjects. I do, and you’ll just have to trust me on this, or rely on your Amish-level googling skills. Anyway, nobody ever talks about “hey, lets expand the government, what a groovy thing it would be to just have a whole bunch more government!” Never happens.

What would explain that? Well, I suppose it could be our Secret Agenda, and we all…all, mind you!..have the iron discipline of Lenin’s revolutionary cadres. We managed to go along for years without ever speaking out loud our Secret Agenda.

See, this is how I know you don’t know any lefties or you would know that we are blabbermouths. And not only are we not ashamed of our agenda, we are actually pretty pleased with ourselves. We don’t hide the fact that we want to tax the rich, even though that fetches a whole shitload of powerful enemies, we couldn’t hide our agenda if we wanted to! If a secret agenda would sweep away every Republican from Waco to Wasilla, we couldn’t do it. We can’t keep a secret to save our very souls.

So that isn’t it. So what’s left?

About all thats left is the assertion that you got some serious mojo, voodoo magic you got from Ayn the Voodoo Queen, means you get to see what we are thinking that we don’t even know we are thinking! That’s why we don’t talk about it, we don’t know we are thinking it, but you do!

So, which is it? We lefties are the epitome of iron discipline? Or we don’t know what we are thinking, but you do?

Or, your full of it.

Class, this is what we call “answering one’s own question.”

ETA: OK, I won’t play luci’s game of trying to be so damn panda-bear cute all the time. Here’s the deal–the only way to take money from rich people is to use the government. This is why liberal douches like to increase government power, it allows them to force rich people to give money to the government.

Well duh, until this moment you didn’t know that libs believed in progressive taxation? And what’s the problem with giving money to the government anyway? We give money to the government for the “common good”. That’s the point of taxes. And sadly enough you don’t get to determine what the common good is. I don’t get to determine that either. We vote for representatives who, heh, represent us and make those decisions. Vote people!!!

But thats not what you said, sugarpants. You said

I didn’t make it up, you said it, not me. If you want to amend it to read that the issue of taxing the rich is just a means to achieve big government so we can tax the rich, go right ahead, makes about as much as sense as anything else you’ve said.

Isn’t my fault you can’t think straight.

Huh? Let me lay it out for your dumb ass, dumbass.

The government has the power to force people to give it money, and it obtains good and valid title to that money once it obtains it. If you as an individual were to take someone’s money against their will, then you would be commiting a crime, and the someone could get their money back from you (i.e., you have obtained possession only but not good title).

Liberal douches are all jazzed about redistribution of wealth. They think it’s the fucking bee’s knees. The government is the only way to effectively redistribute wealth because of what I said above. Therefore, liberal douches find all sorts of problems the solution to which just happens to be increasing the power of the government.

Well, do you mean to say that the problems exist, but we seek them out needlessly, or do you mean to suggest we make them up out of whole cloth?

Yes.

Some problems you define in terms of a government solution (e.g., health care reform). Other problems you pick a side based on the greatest possibility for government involvement (e.g., global warming). Other problems you create in the first place in order to justify increased government (e.g., parts of the stimulus package).

Are you insane?

No? But I suppose I’m not the most trustworthy source on this subject.

If you have something to add, please add it. If you don’t, I guess just continue doing what you are doing (i.e., showing everyone that you ain’t got much in the brains department).

You really wouldn’t know, would you?

I’m pretty sure you’re actually an obese 40 year old living in a double-wide with his mom.

Nah, them double-wides is exPENsive.

RR, let me tell you this with all honesty:

You’re worth it!

Mama don’t like me buyin’ fancy stuff and puttin’ on airs.

Unless you just woke out of a decade long coma, you know that the largest redistribution of wealth occurred under Bush. The Repubs always redistribute wealth. Bush did it faster than anyone. The repubs like to force the poor to give their money to the rich. They have been very successful at it.

Bush cut taxes for the rich. Did he raise them on the poor?

No ,he left them the same. Therefore the gap got bigger and then cut taxes for the rich again and it got still bigger. The gap betwixt the rich and poor is like it was before the depression. It has only been like this once in our history. Do you think it is a good thing? Unless you are Rover it is unlikely.
