So I see this trailer for a movie comming out the 14th of June. Unfortunately I visit the a site on the internet that allows you to check for viewing in your area code. I checked all the area codes around me and none are showing this movie.
It is Thinkfilm, which I believe is Independent so that may be it. It is based off a book that never got published.
How do I go about getting to see this film? Wait till it is out of theaters and order it somehow? Where would I order it? If it is not in my theaters is it safe to assume it is not going to be at blockbuster either?
I REALLY, REALLY want to see this movie, It looks awesome.
Jodie Foster was on Letterman last night and said the movie would open in New York and Los Angeles now and later in the rest of the country. Hopefully you have enough theaters in town so that at least one will take a shot at this movie.
Chris Fuhrman, the late author, is from Savannah, so I hope one of the theaters in town town will honor his memory and show it.
In a rare case of name dropping, I worked with Chris briefly in the mid 80’s. We worked at a high-end grocery store. I worked full time and he would work in the summer and on holidays while in college. I remember him so well because he was very intelligent with a seriously warped sense of humor. He also introduced to the music of the Dead Kennedys.
According to Amazon.com it was published in 1994 in hard cover, and then in paper back in 1996 and again this past fall. Barnes and Noble has an additional listing in 1995 for another paper back version of it.
Where do you live? I work for a movie theatre in St. Louis and we’re showing it next week. I guess I’ll admit that I work for Landmark Theatres and they’re showing currently in their theaters in New York and LA, coming soon to Boston and probably others.
