Most schools I went to had a paved part for basketball, tetherball, four square and winter. And a mud or grass field with soccer nets, climbers, and space.
Oh yes. Pull that thing back and let it go and you have a 20 lb. iron sledgehammer. That’s the way they used to be anyway.
The playground may be the best lesson in school though. 20 minutes of stuff that can kill you. Sort of like driving to work.
The most dangerous playground equipment:
As I recall, the one at our school was on packed dirt. I fell from the top of that thing once.
Our school had one of those as well along with the newer one mentioned above.
The playground here had one of those in the Seventies. Hardly anyone ever used it.
