Danny Aiello, Actor in ‘Do the Right Thing,’ Dies at 86

Liked the actor, Do the right thing sucked balls.

That was his son who died of pancreatic cancer about a decade ago.

I had no idea he was that old. Never thought about it much I guess.

If you’re like me, that’s because you always mixed him up with Dennis Farina.

The first thing I think of when I hear ‘Danny Aiello’ is Papa Don’t Preach. He was perfectly cast in Do The Right Thing, though. He was Sal.

A nice memorial to Danny.

I rewatched DTRT after hearing of Danny’s death.
I’ll miss him.

You’re right, it seems obvious now that you say it.

What were the traits of that guy that made him a great character? He feels the same but I can’t put words on it.

You’re right about that.

Were we supposed to feel bad for the plight of the minorities in that film? Because they lived way the fuck better than I do. Anyway, they made more money delivering pizzas, and they got to fuck their girlfriends during working hours. Well the main character did anyway.

Also, anybody would have eventually have smashed that damned boombox.

Maybe the stories were based on Spike Lee’s teenage years/early 20s? That would explain the relatively carefree lives.
