That is just not a reasonable interpretation of what they said. They said they didn’t know, and aren’t going to try and find out. And told you that, if you wanted to find out, you could go check for yourself.
It’s not fair for you to attack them for a position they didn’t actually take. Your interpretation is in complete contradiction to their actual words.

OK, Dark Sponge’s thing about “forbidden” parts of the Torah was just bizarre. And possibly anti-Semitic, but the statement was so incomprehensible that I can’t even begin to figure out what was in his mind.
And there was some side trip about Messianic Judaism. Who are, admittedly, a bunch that’s hard to pigeonhole. The whole thing was baffling.
