Actually, I’m kind of hoping Lucas sues over this.
It’s a pro-organic foods clip “borrowing” the Star Wars characters. The stormtroopers are pretty cool, though.
Gimme 3 stormtroopers over easy, a slice of Solo, cottage-fried Darth and coffee.
I’ll have the Obi-wan for lunch.
Thanks for the link. This is hilarious.
I think it’s great. If Lucas sues, he’s a big enough jerk to deserve to have his money confiscated.
People are all whiny about the “agenda” behind the video. I just think it’s funny!
Chewbroccoli? Search your peelings? Bahahaha!
I shared it with an ex-bf who’s a bit of a, how can I say this, pure-food nut. (Honestly, I don’t care what people choose to eat, I just don’t appreciate getting lectures about it.)
Anyway, he got a kick out of it. And I wasn’t snarky at all!
I was amused, but what was with yogurt? no mangled sentence structure at all. horrible, just horrible.
Hey, I like organic foods, but towards the end I found the film to be a bit too heavy handed for my taste.
What would be the basis for a lawsuit? Parody is protected free speech.
I was about to say the same thing, but I’m not sure about the music. As far as I can tell by listening, they used John Williams’ music, and I don’t know if the protection of parody includes the lifting of the scores and arrangements. As I said, this was just by listening once, it could be that they’ve altered the music slightly, too.
A note about the work itself:
Princess Lettuce? That totally sucked. I can accept Cuke Skywalker, Ham Solo, Chewbroccoli, and TofuD2, but it looks like they could have come up with something better for the princess.
Princess Lentil?
Princess Lima (Bean)?
Princess Lychee?
Princess Lemon…okay, maybe Lettuce was the best they had.
