Darth Vader trivia

Speaking of salads, how does Darth Vader eat?

Simple. He uses the forks. BWAHAHAHAHAHA!

Ok, that’s stupid, I know.

Natural, I was just about to ask that myself.

I figured he could either do via pouring a nice shake into a suit slot, or munching down on something inside of his home area, like we saw in ESB.

I think he eats in that big black Feberge egg thing we saw in “The Empire Strikes Back.” You have to think it’s murder to try to maneuver a Star Destroyer through the McDonald’s drive-thru. However, Jedi would have an easy time of it at the counter:

OBI-WAN
I’ll have a Big Mac, a large order of fries, and a medium Coke.

TEENAGED CLERK
Okay, a Big mac, large fry, Coke… that’ll be $4.39.

OBI-WAN
You don’t need me to pay you $4.39.

TEENAGED CLERK
I don’t need you to pay me $4.39.

OBI-WAN
You just want to give me my food for free.

TEENAGED CLERK
I just want to give you the food for free.

OBI-WAN
And extra Monopoly game pieces.

TEENAGED CLERK
Here are some extra Monopoly game pieces!

Next, please.

Max, I watched “Tapestry” last night and we were both right. There is a very brief scene in the first act in which Q lets Picard see the fight as it originally happened. In that scene, Picard is played by a young actor listed in the credits as Marcus Nash. I couldn’t find him in IMDb. Throughout the rest of the show, young Picard is played by Patrick Stewart.

The other episode we both remembered was “Rascals,” in which young Picard is played by David Birkin. Did he look familiar? He also played René Picard, Capt. Picard’s ill-fated nephew, in the episode “Family.”

JThunder, aren’t you glad you didn’t ask?

C. Andrew Nelson was in the Darth Vader costume in the Special Edition of The Empire Strikes Back. He has played Darth Vader in commericals, magazine covers, posters, etc., since 1994. According to his letter in Star Wars Insider #52, he has potrayed Darth Vader 43 times, and has clocked more time in the Vader costume than anyone else.

Why am I up reading an old Star Wars Insider at 4 AM?

Don’t forget the guy who voiced the “improved” Vader line from ESB. That wasn’t James Earl Jones.

Instead of saying “Bring my shuttle”, he says “Alert my Star Destroyer to prepare for my arrivale.” I always thought the original line carried a hint of introspectiveness, maybe even a touch of regret, over the outcome of the duel. The new guy ruined it for me…
