About 2:20 am. After Bob Ballard and his crew found the wreck when all the atta- boys and congratulations were done a crew member glanced at the clock and said OMG, it was close to 2:20 am!
Actually, the Titanic struck the iceberg late in the evening of April 14th (around 11:30pm, I believe) and then sunk about 2:20 am in the early morning of the 15th. That is why you sometimes see the two different dates regarding this event. Technically, it hit the iceberg on the 14th and sank on the 15th.
