Dawn Of The Dead!

Does anyone have a link to the final script for Day of the Dead? I can only find links to the original version via Google.

There’s one for download at http://www.homepageofthedead.com but I don’t know if it’s final or not.
Oh, a question I forgot: What were the captain’s last words? I cannot make them out. Sounds like “Suck it up! Suck it up!” or something, as he’s being torn apart and devoured.

I believe it’s “Choke on 'em! Choke on 'em!”

I have also read at creature-corner.com that there is a planned remake of Dawn of the Dead, but without Romero’s involvement.

(Referring to his legs)
“Choke on 'em! Choke on 'em!”

Thanks Joe, but that’s the original draft as well. I’m interested in a script for the version that was eventually made.

Have you seen either of the movies based on the book? The first one was The Last Man on Earth, starring Vincent Price in 1964. The other was The Omega Man starring Charlton Heston in 1971.

I’ve seen them both but I don’t recall them that well beyond a few gripping moments.

Apologies for the hijack.

I like the remake of Night of the Living Dead the best myself. All those hysterical, screaming women really got on my nerves in the original, although I did admire the cinematography of it. And of course Dawn of the Dead just rocks!

Dawn of the Dead… wow, this thread brought back memories!

I lived in Monroeville, right above the mall. Recall the entrances to the mall in the film? They came down the hill-side? Remember when the heli flys out? The house you can barely see at the top of the hill? Not my house, but very close to it! I remember seeing a motorcycle gang going down Monroeville Blvd. and turning down the hill to the mall and thinking to myself “What the f—?”. Heh, saw the movie and it all came together!

Several friends and acquantences were in that film as extras.

Damn, thanks for the memories everyone. I’m going to have to go get that DVD now.
