So I’m going up to San Fran today with my two daughters, 6 and 4. What would be good activities for them?
It’s across the Golden Gate Bridge but when we lived down there the Bay Area Discovery Musuem was a hit with my son (three years old at the time).
Might be nice in conjunction with a walk around the bridge.
sigh As much as I do love the Seattle area, I do miss the Bay Area quite a bit. Those trails and parkland on both sides of the bridge are paradise.
How often do you go to SF?
At that age, Exploritorium/Pier 39 could be a day.
Zoo/beach could be a day
Golden Gate Park / Academy of Sciences could be a day
At that age, I would say Golden Gate Park. California Academy of Sciences, Japanese Tea Garden, nice playground at the east end (and a carousel IIRC), rose garden, paddleboats, etc.
Exploritorium hands down. There’s nothing to compare in the city for that age range. It’s an absolute blast.
When? June is Gay Pride month and the last weekend (23=25) will be a mad house.
