I’ve been considering doing intermittent day-on, day-off fasting (one day of normal food, one day of no food, etc.) AIUI, if someone only goes for 30-40 hours in a row with no food, it doesn’t require the delicate, careful fast-breaking procedures that one would need if one had been fasting nonstop for an entire week…is that right? (your digestive system doesn’t ‘go to sleep’ until the third day)
I have a couple of friends who had done the day-on/day-off version. On the non-fast days, they ate their regular meals as normal. They both slimmed down quite a bit.
I have a different regimen. Three days a week, I stop eating a 6PM, and do not eat until 1 PM the following day. Again, keeping with my regular meals. I think that’s the key. Do not allow yourself to think, “I fasted yesterday, so I can afford that massive triple burger today.”
