In a local mall, I happened to see a pushcart/stand selling “Dead Sea” mineral salts. This stuff is supposed to be good foryour skin…all sorts of other benefits alleged…
Anyway, I know that the “Dead Sea” is just a salt lake in a desrt, and that its waters contain salts of sodium, calcium, etc. What’s so special about the stuff? Wouldn’t bathing in sea water have the same effect on you?
So why do people go there to float in the water?
They come from the Dead Sea, of course. It’s in the Holy Land. Stands to reason their different from other salts. :rolleyes:

People float in water naturally (assuming their lungs aren’t filled with water). They just float higher in salt water because of its density. The Dead Sea is so salty that you are more bouyant than usual.
