Saw it Saturday. Really, really liked it. A little too much of the Joanie-Calamity Jane relationship and not enough of Dan in my opinion. Gerald McRainey was as usual top notch.
I loved it. Maybe not quite the height of the best parts of the Deadwood series, but still very, very good, and a fitting end to the story.
I thought it was great! Really, what more could you ask for. Our favorite characters in the setting that looked like the original. They all get a piece of the pie, and it fit together.
I was struct that most of them had to compromise. I won’t go into details so as not to put spoilers in there, but no seemed to get all they wanted.
It has, as that thread quickly morphed into opinions.
