Dear physical/occupational therapists and hip replacement patients - help, please

I am starting to worry (OK, obsess) over little things, since surgery is getting closer.

My question - I would imagine I need slip on shoes since I can’t bend over and tie laces for awhile. Can they be backless (like flat clogs), as long as they fit well and are non-skid? How much will the foot on my affected leg swell up? Do I need to go up a size from what I wear now? I’m trying to buy everything now to be prepared, otherwise known as a good excuse for shopping like a crazed beast all week.

Also, looking for good web sites for post-surgery rehab info. Thanks - beckwall
