Dear retractable USB manufacturers

Can I know what silly-ass procedure you use to test the damned memory things?
Is it any tougher than gently pressing it onto extra-fluffy cotton?

I say this because every time my students bring me their projects on USB memories, it’s always the retractable one that take extra time to get in the right spot.
Sometimes it is the freaking knob you have to push and others is the locking mechanism (designed for no more than 10 uses), but always, ALWAYS
failing when you need them the most.

I’d hope you’d all get gang raped with your stupid memories, but I know they wouldn’t get very far.

(I know it’s lame, OK?)

My dog ate my PNY.

I will have it on your desk by monday.

I had one of those, it broke and now I have a naked flash drive where my slide in one used to be…and after washing it twice (as in washing machine) it still works just fine…I dont think it would survive the dryer though

Sure, but I expect to you to bring it anyway (in a bag) or you’ll get a 0

How 'bout I just put the dog on your desk?

No prob if it has an external port like in Circuitry man

There’s someone else who has seen that movie?!?

Finally, we meet. Let’s open a Cafe Society thread with boxed spoliers and all

I had a flash drive go through both the washer and the dryer. It still works!

I also liked Circuitry Man
What’s this about USB, again?

Not a flash drive, but I put my last cell phone through the washer. It didn’t survive. I regret not putting it in the dryer – maybe it would have had a better prognosis. :stuck_out_tongue:
