Well I’m glad I opened this thread! I just put two letters in the mail this afternoon and now I had to run outside and put some two-cent stamps on them so they’ll actually get somewhere. And I just bought a book of stamps last week. Nary a sign at the Post Office that the rate was going up in less than a week. Now I have to buy 14 more two-centers.
As a regular user of the USPS I have to say I am not very impressed (to say the least). It seems like Newman was not so far off the mark.
I wish the USPS were more like the Danish Royal Postal Service… only cheaper.
I bought two “books” of stamps not even two weeks ago, no mention from the USPS staff, no signs up in the post office (the main post office for Las Vegas).
Now tomorrow I have to go to the post office and buy 30 “make-up” stamps    :mad:now my superhero stamps are going to look stupid with that little fucking make-up stamp…fuck you, you penny pinching postal bastards!
This is very strange. I’ve recently been mailing a lot of stuff out. For the past three weeks my post office has been asking every customer who buys stamps if they’re looking for the forever stamps, or the new 41 cent stamps that go into effect on the 14th, and letting non-stamp buyers know it as well.
Of course, there was a massive line their yesterday and they didn’t think to add more staff.
