When I lived in Oz, I was often the brunt of Only In America jokes from Aussies delighted in ribbing me with absurdities of America.
Just part of the Aussie tradition.
My turn.
From The Only In Australia Files …
Plastic ‘exit bags’ to be given away
Plastic “exit bags” designed for committing suicide but covered with warnings that misuse will cause death are to be made in Australia and given away free of charge.
Queensland Premier Peter Beattie said today he would be seeking advice on whether the devices were legal.
“If they are in any way in breach of the law then appropriate action will be taken by the police,” Mr Beattie told reporters in Brisbane.
The Australian-designed bag, made in Brisbane, will feature an elasticised opening to provide an airtight seal around a person’s neck and is expected to be unveiled at a news conference on August 20.

Will they come with twist-ties, too?
Hmmm… Lazy aussies can’t friggin kill themselves like us americans.
Seriously though that is scary, it should at least have a warning “Not suitable for children under the age of 100”
Do they come in a variety of shapes and sizes?
What about colours - I think I’d prefer my exit baggie to be a nice calming shade of blue (to help make the experience less traumatic for those that find me).
Also they had better be scented to cover any odours that may arise from bodily functions occuring at time of death or shortly thereafter.
And may I just point out the Canadians came up with the idea first so hah.
