Death is... whimsical today.

This has been a heck of a week!

Add Ray Walston to the list. I always thought he was kind of cool - I imagine he’d have made a wonderful grandfather. I loved his bit part in Johnny Dangerously: “I can see! I can hear! But - who am I??”
Dang, what is it about New Year’s? Do all the famous old people hang on for just one more day so they can say they made it another year? This is too weird.

sigh

Another great loss :frowning:

Robin

Though I don’t know the others, I really liked Victor Borge. :frowning:

Welf, Ray Walston, I believe, was My Favorite Martian, way long time ago. Also used to play the judge on Picket Fences, if that helps.

Oh, yeah, and Billy Barty was probably the most famous “Little Person” (midget, whatever the PC term for them is) ever to work in TV and movies.

Also, he was a teacher in Fast Times at Ridgemont High who asked the kids if they were smoking dope. I don’t remember the exact quote, I haven’t seen it in awhile.

Is this the quote?

“What are you people…on DOPE?”

Yes, we all shall miss Mr. Hand. Perhaps the class should order a pizza in his honor.

That’s the quote.
