death row

Hello

I am currently trying to write a short film script about the last day in the life of somebody on death row. I have done a bit of research on the net and intend to do alot more but i thought i might drop the question here as well.

So what im wondering is what does somebody on death row do on their last day alive? I mean they get last dinner but what else.

Do they brush their teeth and shave?

Do they get a few moments alone in a courtyard?

Can they speak to anyone?

Are they transported somewhere for execution on the day?

Are they already transported there the day before?

What are their cells like?

At any given time during the day would they be alone with one prison guard?

Is the walk to the execution directly from his cell to the chair/chamber etc… or do they stop in another room where they get to spend some more time with themself, or just to wait for the equipment to get ready or whatever?

The prison guards that walk them to the chair/chamber are they just workers at the prison or institution where the execution takes place or involved with the arrest of the person or something?

Do you always get a priest or pastor or something to walk with you the execution or is that by choice?

How long before the execution is the last meal eaten?

Ok i think that should cover it. If my questions seems silly i apologize. I just want to be as detailed as possible in writing this script.

Thanks

Inmate diaries and interviews with inmates, including those on Death Row, can be found on the Net.

Here is one to get you started.
