I think so long as we get the schematics down tight, the independent contractors can get the actual nuts-and-bolts-laws-of-thermodynamics stuff straight.

Well, in Return of the Jedi, when the Falcon and its group flew into the station’s core, we could see that indeed a massive internal cavity existed.

Perhaps absorbing waste heat was one of the Emperor’s secret Sith powers. :smiley:

Massive in comparison to the Falcon, not massive in comparison to the size of the entire Death Star. Using the size of the Falcon as a constant, I would expect that the reactor cavity is a negligible portion of the entire volume of the station.
