Damn.
Today was a day like any other.
Looking forward to the annual Hessler Street Fair, in 2 weeks.
Its THE hippie get together here.
Last year I met our local Poet Laureate, Daniel Thompson, who was there.
I was looking forward to seeing him again.

Til I read this mornings paper (Plain Dealer).
He died yesterday.
He had been diagnosed with leukemia 2 years ago.
This is a sad day for Cleveland and everyone who met him or heard his poetry.
Damn.
What beautiful poetry, and what a beautiful man! Thanks for the link. But he’s not dead. He was never the rotting meat or the gray ashes that remain.
Thank you Libertarian.
Your post was a bit of sunshine.
I know he lives on as you put it, but **I ** miss him, and feel so sad I cannot see him or talk with him again, which I was looking forward to doing in 2 weeks.
Its my loss.
Well, lots of people’s loss.
Well, you never know what’s around the corner. Could be two weeks. Could be 80 years. But sooner or later, you’ll see him and talk to him again. It is your love for him that will assure that.
I SO hope that is true.
I’ve heard you can’t get to heaven unless you actually accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior.
I know he took classes on being a missionary, but I don’t know.
That would make me feel at peace knowing I would see him again.
Do you have any verses that would support your view?
Its sounds so good.
My condolences sweetie. Just remember his spirit lives on.
“By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” — Jesus (John 13:35)
Another one popped into my head today.
When I was hungry, you fed me, when I was thirsty, you gave me water.
When you did it to the least of these, you did it for me.
Well, he did that, so now I feel pretty sure he is up there.
