Debating with Americans.

Hezbolla is a terrorist group with a political wing. It wasn’t the government of Lebanon that attacked Israel with thousands of missiles, it was an Iranian supplied militia launching the weapons from the streets of Lebanon.

Posting a thread decrying the ignorance of an entire nation is an arrogant position to take made worse by citing a position that was poorly thought out as an example of debate. To suggest that a President’s wishes (for another nation to be wiped from the pages of history) is not threatening in light of direct military support against that nation is a remarkable position to take.

I seem to have missed the act of the US Congress that made the Vatican a State? Cite, please?

I sorta agree w/you, tomndebb, because I keep hoping for the same. Looks to me like the Yanks are, if not winning, at least holding their own. Leave it here for a while longer (or maybe a “whine” longer), I see a few angles of attack that have not been explored yet. Maybe I will use one. “Go Yanks!”

The EEEVIL BUSH went out of his way, continuously, to get UN backing. And the backing of the US Congress. And the backing of the US population. AFTER the fact (also after having given the requested “authorization”), both organizations went out of their way to discredit his efforts. I never agreed with any of what he did, and argued against it to anyone who would listen at the time, prior to his actually receiving, let alone acting on those authorizations. And guess what, everything I argued would be a problem became a problem, for precisely the reasons I used when arguing against the “intervention”. Nevertheless, he did get the exact authorization you (and the UN, and the US Congress) are now complaining he didn’t get. Disingenuousness knows no bounds… And yet, you expect me to accept what you claim Ahmedinejad claims he said without question? I don’t think so…

On this one, I really have to ask: Where do you get your wonderful dope (as in drugs, not “Dope board”). This is delusional. Please, enlighten me on where this even remotely approaches demonstrable (or even “plausible”) fact…?

The OP’s posts are a bit like Qassam rockets: random, pointless, essentially ineffective, but they demand some sort of response - otherwise, they’ll never stop.

Too accurate…

But then again, it’s the fault of the people the rockets are being fired at…
You made me fire them, because you’re opressing me… It’s your fault…

Alright, enough. Suggesting another poster is on drugs is insulting. Please move back into the realm of factual rebuttals instead of just denigrating the OP and his posting style.

I’d still like a cite for his claims about the Saudis from a cite other than Iran’s official propaganda services or other sites that merely reprint them.

There are vast differences between the inquisitorial system (I assume that’s what you’re refering to regarding “other western countries”) and the adversarial system (used for instance in the USA). But the general obligation for lawyers not to disclose informations obtained from the defendant and to defend him to the best of their ability isn’t one of them.

You’re right. I’m sorry. :smack: I will endeavor to better keep control of myself.
