debt amounts and other stuff

like a good little liberal, chopped, mid steam, just like the national medial, you should work for CNN.

Have a wonderful evening. Enjoy and happy sequestration to you. But look on the bright side, all of obamas pet projects are protected, just cut the military, we dont need them anyway right?

Hey, ubyy, what are your thoughts on fluoridation?

Duane Gish, inventor of the Gish Gallop, died a couple weeks ago. I’m reading this thread as an homage. It’s funnier that way.

We can be conservative and still know that you’re wrong.

You wouldn’t be leery about lending money to someone that must borrow money from others in order to pay you? You and S and P have a different opinion on what the downgrade was about. You know that right?

You said “You can pull verses out of context to try to get them to say whatever you want”

To which I replied “That is what fundamentalists do”…which they do. They cherry pick verses from the Bible to suit their purpose(s) du jour.

So now you are saying that fundamentalists are what they are because they are literalists? Why, yes they are…but they also pick and choose which verses support their “arguments”, much as you have done. So…yeah.

No, Clinton and his republican controlled house and senate, balanced the budget for two years, then came two wars, then came a ton of social spending and Obama care

obviously not liberals, you should. We spend 7% of our annual budget on the interest on the national debt so this social spending is going to land us in the same boat as Greece.

the problem is the sequester has blocked access to the wasteful spending that needs to be addressed, such as the social spending and leave only the military and one other area to draw the 85 billion from, that is not where the majority of the money went over the last four years. Senator Coburn has found 364.5 billion in duplicate spending but the liberals refuse to budge on those areas. So we fund site seeing of wineries and the like, while asking military to cut 20+% of their income, and we can send money overseas to other nations, and do research on Duck reproduction, important things like that.

I would just like to point out that when we raise expenses on business/corporations, they pass the increased expense down to the consumers.

just a note, communists and Nazis were really good at only allowing people to hear what they want them to hear by blocking freedom of speech. Good thing that doesn’t happen here in the good ole US of A…

Guess so, $4 trillion under Bush with 7 years of war, and another $6 trillion under President Obama in just 4 years. Not saying anything is amiss there, if I did it would be deleted anyway likely. so just sayin

If we are going to blame deficits solely on presidents, Bush left Obama a trillion dollar deficit and it will drop below that this year. Bush inherited a surplus and turned it into a trillion dollar deficit. Which is worse?

The Democrat. Always

How is that possible?

And that the Internet makes it just about impossible.

And yet when we cut taxes for businesses and corporations, they don’t hire more people, nor do they pay more in dividends, but instead funnel much of the money into big bonuses for their corporate officers. More golf tournaments.

So, since that’s the way they’re gonna behave, I prefer taxing them. At least we get some use out of the money.

Nonsense. The debt has been revolving for decades. The only new thing is that the Republicans deliberately attempted to harm the full faith and credit of the united states to score political concessions. They were willing to fuck up the world economy for some political points to benefit the most privileged tiny minority in world history, and that makes the rest of the world just a bit nervous.
