Decembrants

Fuck you, EmAnJ.

I’m not pregnant. My period started and a test is white.

Sorry it turned out to be a false positive.

But yeah, you really need some perspective. Good luck next month.

Thanks for letting me know exactly how to handle your future fertility posts EmAnJ.

I’m not sure if this has already been posted, but the book, musical, and movie are not called “Les Miserable;” they are called “Les Misérables.” I’ve seen the former far too many times today. If you want to leave off l’accent aigu, fine, but at least pluralize it as it was intended.

Yes, I’m being a pedantic jerk today.

Thanks, guys. She went downhill pretty fast today, so I don’t think she suffered too much. You love them for as long as you have them, then you have to make terrible, unsatisfying decisions that make you feel completely at a loss, and then they’re gone. I think we did the best we could for her, though.

You did the best for her, Cat Whisperer. Thanks for letting us know how it turned out. Made me tear up for you and for that moment in the vet’s office with my Max last year. They do get deep in our hearts don’t they.

It’s just about the hardest decision to make. You did what was right, though, and that’s what matters.

The housekeeper stopped by to ask about my weekend. While she was leaning on my doorway chatting, she started digging at her leg crease, about halfway between hipbone and hoo-hah. Possibly a little farther south.

It’s not even chigger weather.

You obviously don’t know my history, so I can’t fault you this. Carry on.

I know your history, I’m very familiar with it, and I don’t think it’s an excuse for being such a shit to a woman who just had a chemical pregnancy. Seems like you would have learned a little compassion along the way.

If you’ll note, my comment was made before you announced your chemical. And once you did, I apologized that it happened and wished you luck next cycle. It is sad that you had a chemical and I can imagine that the last 24 hours were very emotional for you. As I suggested earlier in this thread (which you ignored), perhaps it’s time to talk to your doctor.

My friend saw her boss actually pull down his pants, scratch his bare ass, and then pull his pants back up. (He didn’t know anyone had seen that.)

{{{Cat Whisperer}}}

Tearing up for Cat Whisperer. We never get to keep our four-footed kids long enough. :frowning:

I am so sorry for your loss. It sounds to me like you did the best anyone could have done. (((Cat Whisperer)))

I know that this probably isn’t the time to say this, but I’m going to do it anyhow. If you ask your vet, he or she might know someone who could use the unneeded meds and stuff. Keep the tubing and needles, cats lucky enough to live with folks like you and your husband usually live so long that they develop kidney failure.

I hope you don’t take that the wrong way. You just strike me as the sort of person who would hate to throw out perfectly good meds that might help another cat. (kind and considerate, I mean.)

That’s a good idea. I’m so sorry for your loss Cat Whisperer. :frowning: They bring us such joy and leave way too soon.

I’m so sorry about your kitty Cat Whisperer - you did the right thing, but it still feels shitty. :frowning:

We took the tubing and needles back to the vet already - we actually didn’t end up with very many meds left over, and the ones that we do have (the thyroid meds) our other cat can use. Good thought, though.

My mother has half a dozen, but I don’t think sending one of her plantlings to New Jersey would be healthy for it.

Well, Mom’s are the indoor, greenhouse version… when my team went to one of Costa Rica’s wet jungles (they have dry jungle too) and asked what those huge trees all four of us couldn’t encircle were, we were told they were ficuses.

Look up.

Look down.

Look up.

Look down.

What, you mean ficus as in “those plants with the big bright leaves our moms have in pots?”

Yep.

Wow. Turns out what we thought of as “ficuses” were almost bonsais.

I’m sorry you lost your kitty, Cat Whisperer. You did the right thing, as others have said, but it isn’t easy. :frowning:
