The recent threads on the subject of “Action Movie” and the varying ideas of what constitutes such a thing made me curious if we could do an SDMB version of the Wikipedia concept.
By that I mean we will devise an SDMB definition for these five terms that will:
- cover the essential elements
- be easy to understand
- distinguish the target term for other similar things
- cover all the nuances between sub-meanings
With the idea in mind that no matter how concisely and precisely you think you know what these things mean, there will be disagreement.
So think in advance of how to reduce the disagreements about what these things mean.
