I don’t know man… I don’t think they think the love of a women would change them. They just feel like everyone else and wanted to be loved
When I read the OP, I pretty much agreed with it, except that I was reminded of a movie by Ettore Scola, Passione d’Amore. I believe the English title was “Passion of Love”.
In this movie, Bernard Giraudeau plays the role of a handsome young officer who has a beautiful girl friend (played by Laura Antonelli, back when she was beautiful-- sort of hard to believe nowadays). He is sent to a remote army post and boards in a colonel’s home. The colonel has a daughter (or niece, I don’t quite recall) who is weird and ugly, bad-tempered. The actress is no pretty girl pretending to have a bad hair day, she IS ugly, not plain, but painfully hard to look at, and the camera doesn’t shy away from showing her clumsiness and lack of beauty. (Hell, I’m rambling)To make a long story short, the officer is eventually overwhelmed by how much this girl needs him. He is both repelled and attracted. He gets involved with this girl who is passionately in love, obsessed, with him. The story does not have a happy ending.
Anyhow, the movie struck me as very unusual because of the unusual combination ugly woman/handsome man. Good movie too, in spite of my poor description.
There was a kung fu movie with two guys, one with no arms and the other with no legs, who had to work together to get revenge on the guy who put acid on their limbs.
haha

does the movie have subtitles or is it dubbed in English??
I know it is “Freaks,” and not “Freak” - a typo.
Johnny Eck was the man who had no legs and walked on his hands, IIRC. He even appeared in full evening clothes (top hat, tails, white tie, etc.) in the film, again IIRC. Very early on I started a thread about the pinhead girls and got a great response. There are a few “Freaks” fans here on the board.
Again, check it out if you can.
Could that be The Crippled Masters?

Sorry I didn’t get back to this sooner, MyFoot. The movie is in Italian, subtitles in English.
What about Galaxy Quest, where the engineer ends up with the sucker-monster alien?
Or The Cage, where Cap’n Pike falls for the hunchbacked girl?
Okay, probably not great examples, but still. Hunchbacks! Tentacles!
The monster woman has testicals?
