Democrats: If the next president had to be a Republican...

No, sir, it is a great deal more than possible, it is certain.

Not morons. Morans. Which is something like Ro-Mans, only stupider, but still far more gorilla-like and worse-smelling.

Yeah, her for me too.

Your statement does a disservice to all the good people of the People’s Republic of Vulgary.

Ummm… what about Justin Bieber and Paris Hilton?? Either that or Betty White and Elvis Costello.

These people you listed are republicans??? (Well, I can understand Paris Hilton being one.)

I’d go Romney or Jeb!. Republicans love the name “Bush”. so it’ll shut them up most of the time.

Caitlyn Jenner.

Any which way, if a Republican won, it would be RTFirefly and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Election. I think I’d have to move to Australia.

Donald TRUMP of course.

Kasich for current candidates

I know. After last night’s daily show I kind of like the guy, even if I disagree with him about almost every policy decision. At least, I don’t think he’s nuts.

Sophie’s Choice for the 21st century.

Well, Graham never could have finally gotten the nom anyway, certain . . . things . . . about his . . . personal confirmed-bachelor lifestyle would have . . . come out, in the process . . . things traditionally tolerated and generally winked at in a Southern Bourbon-Gentry aristo, but unacceptable to the base. Like playing pool, of all things! Now friends, let me tell you what I mean! You got 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, pockets in a table, and at least one of them corresponds to another man’s anus, and don’t get me started on the cue-stick! With all that chalk carefully rubbed on the tip!

You mean Sen. Mark Kirk calling him a “bro without a ho”?

Of the remaining candidates, Kasich by a mile. Cruz would be a disaster but I can’t even comprehend what a Trump presidency would be like.

Of all possible back-door nominations? Hmm, Romney suddenly looks a lot better in comparison than he did in '12. I think I still might prefer Kasich though.

McCain

Is now 80. Even Sanders is only 74.

Kasich as the least crazy of those left. Of those who ran this time, I guess Jeb would have been the best of the (really, really) bad choices. He’s definitely a policy wonk, is actually fairly smart and the least nutty or wedded to the quasi-religious and social conservative stuff. Basically, he was the Clinton of the Republicans, with the political capital and insider status to actually do stuff, while being a political realist and most likely being a centrist once elected. It’s telling that the Dems are going for such a candidate while the Pubs washed him out early on.

Paul Ryan seems like he’s getting his shit together and becoming somewhat decent. It appears being the Speaker has made him grow up a little. I probably wouldn’t vote for him, but I’m pretty sure he would be a better president than any of the candidates from the GOP race this past year.

Whaddaya talk, whaddaya talk, whaddaya talk…
