If I were more a partisan than a patriot, I’d almost prefer Kerry to lose, the odds against a successful administration are somewhere between daunting and horrific.
Kerry needs a landslide. Like I said, miracle. But he needs a ringing mandate, enough of a repudiation of X-treme rightard policy to put some spine into his fellow Dems, and allow the more sane wing of the Pubbies to break ranks with a reasonable expectation of re-election, which is the only coin these whores know.
But if he just squeeks in, they will hamper and backbite him every step of the way. If he needs to make a potentially unpopular move, he won’t be able to count on the solidarity of the Dems, but will find the Pubbies unified and implacable.
We are electing a man to do the impossible, to un-screw the pooch. Ordinarily, I might not favor changing horses in midstream, but this one drowned without ever realizing he couldn’t swim.
Ug tell you. You said Kerry need kiss Ted’s ass to get far in Mass. I say Kerry on record as John F. fan for long time. So I don’t think he had to sell out to get far, which mean it not true he crook.
Yes, and some evidence that Clinton had Vince Foster murdered while you’re at it. You have proven beyond a reasonable doubt that one thing happened, and then another thing happened. The only thing you’re missing is any evidence the two are connected, which unfortunately is the key point. I suspect there’s a more reasonable explanation than “he made Ted Kennedy mad.” Nor does that explain the conviction.
I don’t see how this has fuck-all to do with Kerry by any reasonable standard.
I see you’ve got some association but no guilt. So I can see how you might be trying, but not how you would succeed.
I’m very sorry; I forgot Kerry has two syllables. I’ll try again
You said tall guy with long face need kiss Ted’s ass to get far in Mass. I say tall guy with long face and big chin on record as John F. fan for long time. So I don’t think tall guy had to sell out to get far, which mean it not true he crook.
Um, yep, that was what I meant. But considering Mom has spent most of her career dealing with legal issues involving public benefits and large public-interest class action lawsuits (one on school desegregation in particular), I suppose it works the other way, too.
(P.S. It’s spelled “Freudian.” Maybe I spell better in German than in English.)
Your title was “Dems: home much much Kerry undo for you not to be disappointed in him?” This literally says that 1. Dems are disappointed in Kerry now> and 2. That he’d have to undo some of his own actions to date for us to not be disappointed. That is an excellent example of a “Have you stopped beating your wife” inflammitory question.
If i understand you here- it seems like the question you wanted to ask is “Dems: how many of GWB’s current policies do you expect Kerry to change? How much of the status quo can he maintain before you’ll be unhappy?”
Like I said- I would have been happy to attribute your wording problem with not having English as your primary language.
The answer is: no matter what any President does- there will be those of his supporters who will think he has gone too far or not far enough.
Well, it would if one were referring to Sigmund Freud, noted Viennese coke fiend and crackpot. I mean, of course, Karl Frued, noted for Maternal-Oedipal Delusions and the Dvorak Keyboard, amongst others.
*Bush also signaled he would use a second term to gradually push through legislation to limit abortion rights.
“Cultures change slowly. This is still a very heartfelt debate in the political process on the abortion issue,” Bush told supporters. “My attitude is that I’ll sign laws that begin to change peoples’ perception of life and at the same time speak out for a culture of life.”*
The story is about prescription drugs, so that bit sticks out.
Eva Luna - thanks. I suspected that. When I got my SS-number, back in '85, it was extremely easy. I just had to show up at whatever office it was in Chicago and present an envelope (mailed to me) with my name and a US address on it. With the number, I could get a driver’s license in about 4 hours at the DMV, 3,5 of those hours spent standing in line.
You’re right, of course, that the ss-cartd said “not valid for employment”, however, my guess is that I could have gotten work using my driver’s license and it would have been a long time before they caught up with me.
