Denny had a bad, bad, bad, day

A doctor told Fontenelle that coffee was a slow poison. “Yes,” said the philosopher, smiling, “I have been taking it every day for more than eighty years.”

I know, tongue firmly in cheek. And in the real world I actually weigh advice. But I’ve seen what clotty blood can do to brains, hearts, and families. I’d prefer almost certain and severe tummy trouble.

Damn man, close call. Get well soon, I’ll light some candles and burn incense for ya.

Get well soon.

I’m glad you made it through Denny. I hope you continue to improve.

Damn. That WAS a terrible day. I’m impressed by your resilience and hope your recovery is smooth and swift.

How are things going, Denny?

Very well. I don’t have any heart issues at all right now. Moderate exercise raises my blood pressure slightly as expected then it settles down immediately.

Knee pain is the only real issue. The ibuprofen was a miracle worker in that regards. For me it worked far better then the knee injections. I did buy some empty enteric capsules that will hold two crushed ibuprofen tablets. I am planning on using them very sparingly, not 4 to 6 a day like I was doing. I did not know that it is not a simple matter of keeping them from dissolving in the stomach but I figure enteric can’t hurt.

I never did have any symptoms of ulcers. I have never had an upset stomach. I have only thrown up twice in my 72 years! But I am trying to avoid any issues with the ulcers. The docs prescribed Protonix to help control them.

So I’m back to normal but walking slowly and avoiding stairs.

Dennis

I’m so very, very, very happy you’re doing better.

So, too much nitro can make your heart explode? Don’t do that. We like you.
