denounce Isreal for $1?

Great idea. What we definitely need is several new states, thousands of miles away from the U.S. mainland (which makes them extremely difficult to defend), are located in a politically unstable area, and some of which share borders with our enemies. I’m sure China and North Korea would simply be thrilled. Oh, and since the annual per capita GDP of many of those nations is probably roughly equivalent to what I made last week, somewhere around 99% of the populations would be on welfare. Good thinking.

Well, its not like I can give you a cite for it. I don’t have pictures of the US and Israel out drinking and picking up girls together, for instance. However, the kinship between the two countries is closer than you might think, and I don’t think it is based solely on the aid that the US has given to Israel. This does not mean that the citizens of each country are not critical of the governments of the other; merely that there is a pretty big kinship between the two countries.

Note that I said that Israel is trying to find a solution to the racial, ethnic and nationalistic problems. Yes, they retaliate for terrorist attacks. I really don’t blame them, and, believe it or not, it looks to me like the Israelis use far less force than they could, should they desire. Is Israel’s policy up for debate? Certainly; and if you’ve got any ideas, I think they’d be interested in hearing from them.

So, no, I would not be willing to cut them off for cheap gas.

If he didn’t I would rather him not our president. Rome spread christianity throughout Europe and ultimatley the rest of the world which makes it the home of Christianity.

Does anyone beside Bashere think Israel is more friendly than Palestine would have been if we would have given them the Aid?

Friends/Allies you have to buy are not usually worth it.

What Justin seems to forget is that the PA (Palestinian Authority) does receive significant portions of aid from the US. (Aid which should end today in my belief).

Also,Israel is not a friend of the US because they get aid, they get aid because they are considered a friend of the US.

There are hundreds of reasons why Israel and the Us have the friendship they do, starting with the fact that Israel is the only free, democratic, and open society in the entire region. Moreover, their approach to numerous issues has been similar. The peace process is one example. Israel had a huge peace movement which advocated giving land to the Palestinians in return for a halt to their unremitting terrorism. Palestinians on the other hand, rejected the entire idea and reverted to terrorism. The Palestinians had no’peace’ movement and all during the Oslo process were known to have indocrinated kids to be suicide bombers (among other myriad violations of the accords).

It was this patently western idea of compromise and dialogue which Israel tried and the Palestinians laughed at.

There is more, but time is short…
