Anyone familiar with Denver: My son-in-law, son and I are going to the Broncos/Texans game tomorrow at Invesco Field at Mile High. We’ll be coming up I-25 from Colorado Springs (where my SIL is posted in the Army). It looks like an RTD ticket for the three of us at a park-n-ride will be $21, or we can park in a cash lot at the stadium for $30. The weather will be clear and cool, so rain and snow are not going to be a problem.
So, where do you native Broncos fans park?
On another note, we will be rooting for the Texans. Are Broncos fans usually pretty pleasant to out-of-towners?
I’m married to a native Broncos fan, but one who personally attends 1-2 games a year, and we always take RTD to Invesco. But we are very close to light rail and it’s the cheapest way for us. It involves a bit of a walk, but there’s plenty of company.
My understanding is, there are places to park, with prices rising the closer you get, but I haven’t experienced that.
As to whether Broncos fans are pleasant to out-of-towners, I think so. For some reason we often sit surrounded by a bunch of Other fans, which feels a bit strange (this happens to us at Rockies games, too). Try not to gloat when the game is over.
No gloating from me. Have you watched the Texans? They find fantastically creative ways to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory, even when leading through much of the game.
