No word on a cause of death yet. Apparently, he collapsed after participating in a charity basketball game to raise money for a foundation established after his brother received a heart transplant.

What a horrible offseason it’s been for the Broncos. I feel sorry for them.
His poor mama. And wife. And daughter. 
I’d never heard of this guy… but looking at the article, he’s from East St. Louis, not a nice place, and seems he’d used his athletic gifts to escape that and do some good things for his community. What a tough blow.
Actually, he was from St. Louis, but transferred to East St. Louis High School to follow his coach.
An autopsy has been performed, but the results won’t be known for awhile. All they’ve said so far is that there was no “obvious” cause of his death.
